Rubber dust is classified as flammable and assigned to dust explosion class ST1. This means that in addition to the risk to the employee's health, it can also lead to fires and explosions in the production process. There is an increased fire risk especially when crushing, grinding and producing regenerates and when working in dissolving rooms, when flocking rubber parts, applying primers and paints and when producing certain mixtures (such as silica mixtures) in the rubber industry.
Therefore, the rubber dust should be collected directly at the point of origin with an extraction system. Depending on the individual application, ESTA offers a wide range of dust extractors and industrial vacuum cleaners.
