BHS-Sonthofen ensures clean air in the Test Center
Last summer, the machine and plant manufacturer BHS-Sonthofen opened a new test center for process technology at its headquarters in Sonthofen in the Allgäu region. Process technology solutions are developed here on a daily basis for customers from a wide range of industries.
During the set-up work for the test series, various types of dust are generated, such as from colour pigments, pharmaceutical active ingredients or metal powders. A clean working environment, clean air and ATEX conformity are essential for the tests to be carried out under optimal conditions. BHS –Sonthofen has opted for a flexible and at the same time reliable extraction solution with the DUSTOMAT DRY mobile dust extractor from ESTA.
An activated carbon filter was added to the dust extractor in order to effectively reduce any additional odours arising during the test series. This not only keeps the air free of particles, but also makes it considerably more pleasant for the employees on site.
